So a while back Calvin Trillin wrote a piece for The New Yorker in which he investigated a test given by UC Davis staff which turned out to be an urban myth. The test, he thought, challenged students to discern in a blind tasting whether a wine was red or white. A couple of months ago I thought I’d try it myself with a few friends.
